Yes, Hillside Music Festival 2010 has been and gone. Thank you to everyone who supported us. The feedback is fantastic.
“we wanted to let you know feedback regarding the festival you have just run. We had a brill time and loved the set up. The bands were awesome, the trib bands were very good and we loved the band Kasiuss, the DJs were fantastic inbetween sets at keeping the buzz going … We really hope you run the festival next year, its so good to have something so close to home” Sandi & Dave
The newest music festival in Yorkshire was held at a brand new venue, Hillside Rural Activities Park (Borrowby Showground) just a few hundred yards off the A19 in the heart of North Yorkshire, and easy to reach from Thirsk, Northallerton, York, Wetherby, Teesside and beyond.
Were you there? (and if you are the person who left behind a picnic chair, text 07957 811537 with the colour, where you left it, and your name – we would like to return it)
Friday night’s crowd enjoyed a great night of fantastic music, despite the wind and rain. The music took place in a huge marquee, so the weather didn’t matter.
Saturday – what a glorious day! Despite a damp morning, we had sunshine, blue skies, friendly people and amazing music! Sales on the market stalls picked up as the day went on and more people began to arrive, kids had a great time on the fair, and a party atmosphere developed.
We had 14 hours of live Music under cover …Vibrant local talent complemented with major bands on the tribute and festival circuit. The bands were brilliant – something for everyone. Saturday night’s headline band was Mercury, and that marquee rocked! If you were there, you know how brilliant this Queen tribute band is. If you weren’t… maybe next year!
2011 – dates to be confirmed:
